Wine Bars Galore!!!! Charleston, SC

We wandered into one on Meeting St. by Hyman's Seafood - O'Hara & Flynn. Would we miss Tara? Would we have a swashbuckling good time like Errol did in the day? Who knows. Having come from a cocktail party and making my way to dinner, I was already a little tipsy when I walked in. Please do not expect a real review here for that reason.... these Southerners are full of hospitality!!! and I do love wine. So forgive me that I won't fill in the details. My pal Janay and I "waltzed" in... she ordered a cabernet and I a rosé. I do know that. It seemed appropriate for a warm Southern evening.

The bartender offered to sell himself to my friend for $35, or $7 for 10 minutes. She didn't know exactly what was included, and we really didn't want the details, so she didn't accept the offer! We did accept wine and cheese. I loved my rosé and the cheese was tasty. Just right while waiting to eat supper. I wish I could remember what I had, but again, I was a little tipsy. And I did mention this isn't a "real" review, right? Some great food writer I am
.

If you're waiting for a table at Hyman's, pop in for a glass at O'Hara and Flynn. Or try one of the several other options that dot King Street. It's a nice, easy way to chill after sight seeing and before an amazing seafood dinner at one of Charleston's many fabulous restaurants.
