TAP: a Gastropub - Atlanta, GA

I went to TAP Gastropub for lunch not long ago due to the recommendation of a colleague. In a fast-paced, bar-like restaurant, I am sometimes worried that the kitchen might not undertake food allergies with a level of serious concern. I gave the waiter one requirement for my lunch... please do not kill me.

My colleague asked for suggestions and ordered the burger that was highly spoken for. I wanted a barrio salad with jicama and pulled pork arepas. The waiter double checked and I was safe. Yeah me!

Can I just say I am now a convert to TAP Gastropub. My meal was filling but light at the same time. The salad was dressed perfectly (not too heavy or light) and I loved the freshness of it. The arepas could have been heavy, but because it was an appetizer sized portion, it wasn't.

The burger comes with a shot glass milkshake. I was envious of my friend's. The waiter, he has connections he said, and soon I had one too! It was a great little shot o f sweetness to cap the meal.

If you're in Midtown Atlanta, stop in to TAP for lunch or after-work drinks. Be sure to sign up for the mailing list to get in on specials and beer tastings.
