Brunch @ Food Works - Chattanooga, TN
Aaaah.... Food Works Brunch. It's a good reason to get up and get going on a Sunday morning. We hadn't been to FoodWorks in a while and a friend suggested meeting there. We were so happy they did.
First, Food Works has $1 mimosas. The drinks are good s this could get ugly... watch yourself! Next, the menu is full of inspired takes on traditional dishes such as eggs benedict with spicy hollandaise and crab cakes. I enjoyed a Louisiana inspired omelet. Since I have to go gluten-free, the chefs left off the roux-based sauce and added in sauteed shrimp to a great mix of peppers, onions, and tasso ham. Our friend has yummy looking great big pancakes. All of this was served up in a no-rush, casual way, even though there were people waiting for a table. I know turning tables is a big deal for a restaurant, but I never felt rushed or hassled.
Unfortunately, the photos came out blurry so darn, we will just have to go back toFood Works and update the post! Can't wait!
