Vino Volo
I was traveling to San Antonio the other day, just bracing myself for a week of airport and hotel food. When I got off the plane, I was pleased to find a little food and wine bar called Vino Volo. I vowed I would save enough time on my return to go in and try it. It must have been destiny... one of my employees took a photo to show me in case I had missed it. These guys know my style!

Located just on the inside of security in San Antonio, Vino Volo offers frequent fliers like myself an upscale, relaxing place to grab a glass of wine and a snack like cheese, olives, or a salad. I grabbed a comfy leather stool and asked for a glass of wine! Honestly, I debated between a standard or a flight of local Texas Hill Country wine. Imagine... pre-flight flights! I chose a trusty Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. The waiter, pleasant and prompt, delivered my glass with this nifty little card telling me about the wine and its flavors. Educational and tasty all in one!
Vino Volo serves Washington Reagan, Newark, JFK, Philly, Seattle, Oakland, Baltimore, and Sacramento (I am hoping they come soon to Atlanta, concourse B please!). Not overpriced and perfect for between flights, it is simply a must for your itinerary. Stop in to Vino Volo while you are in any one of these airports and say "Cheers" to a better way to travel!
